Surreal behind the scenes of miniature art

Surreal behind the scenes of miniature art

2 of 7

Miniature art is when small objects are put together to represent something real, in a scaled down version. It is a technique and practice studied everywhere and when accomplished to a professional standard, can look exceptional and surreal. Digital artist Felix Hernandez Rodriguez goes to extreme lengths to combine photography with miniature art in a spectacular way. Using props, air and particular camera angles, he’s able to make small objects not only look big, but look as though they are lifelike and in motion. The tricks he plays on the eyes are outstanding and came replicate smoke around fighter jets, a snowstorm with a car caught in the middle, and many more. Here is a collection of his work, with photos to show the behind the scenes and how it’s all put together.
