New Tulip Tower in London

London already has a number of playfully named skyscraper towers in the heart of the city. Towers such as ‘The Gherkin’, ‘Walkie Talkie’ and the ‘Cheesegrater’ tower due to it’s shaped side. However, a new skyscraper tower can now be added to that list as the ‘Tulip’ tower, shaped like the tulip flower has been unveiled as London’s new skyscraper. British architects Foster and Partners revealed the design of the tower that will become the second tallest on the London skyline, at 305 meters, or 1,000 feet. The Tulip will be in placed in the City of London, which is the historic financial district of the capital. The project is still in the process of final approval, however it is said building could begin as early as 2020, and take approximately 5 years to complete.
