New Swiss hotel with a unique feature

5 of 6

A new ski hotel in Western Switzerland has a unique feature available to all guests, that even James Bond himself would be envious about. The Audemars Piguet Hôtel des Horlogers plans on opening its doors in 2020, however, the main feature to set it apart from the competition is that guests can ski down the hotel’s roof straight onto the ski trials beneath the hotel. Construction began in August 2018 and it’s already been greeted with excitement as skiing down a building isn’t a common feature for ski hotels. The pictures and renditions of the final design show the incredible architectural structure that allows guests to take their skiing experience to the next level. The architectural group involved at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and the hotel has been named for Swiss luxury and expensive watchmaker Audemars Piguet. Within the hotel, there will be a spa, two restaurants, a bar along with a number of conference rooms. A sloping corridor will connect all the hotel’s rooms and guests will have easy access to the slope. Images show the incredible hotel ski roof slope, available to both guests and even the locals.
