Life-size McLaren supercar in Lego

Car enthusiasts attending the Goodwood Festival of speed were treated to a surprise with a life-like scaled McLaren 720s in orange. The $271,000 supercar that can travel over 211mph was recreated by around 280,000 small lego pieces. It took a dedicated team of 6 people and a work time of 2,000 hours to build the car by hand. Weighing in at 1.6 tonnes, the lego scale model is actually heavier than the actual supercar, which weighs 1.2 tonnes.
