For the first time in a very long time, authorities in Paris have had to shut down the Eiffel Tower and other notable destinations for public safety as the French capital was swept in snow. The closure means that visitors expecting to have access to the famous Eiffel Tower will have to wait until after the weekend to visit it. The Eiffel Tower is said to attract approximately 6 million tourists per year, however, officials have said it’s too dangerous to visit right now as the public are at risk of slipping.
