A ‘mega’ airport is an airport that over the course of a year handles at least 30 million departing passengers. There are only a number of these airports worldwide and research has identified the 10 most punctual mega airports. OTP, or more commonly known as On-time performance is a way of calculating, in percentage, the level of success of a services ability to maintain and adhere to a schedule and system. In this case, we are specifically looking at worldwide airports and their ability to perform flight departures that are as close to ‘on time’ as possible. The best airports that have the fewest delays will score a percentage out of 100%, with the highest percentage representing the airport with fewest delays, or the most on-time performing airport.
