1. Mission San Miguel – San Luis Obispo, California
Initially built in 1797, Mission San Miguel was a church in California built to convert people to Christianity. The church was a beautiful structure and the proprietor, named Reed, was loved by many. Due to the churches wealth and collection of gold, a robbery turned into murder and Reed, as well as his family were murdered and buried around the church. The beautiful Mission San Miguel church reopened and is still open to this day, however, the grounds are said to be protected by the spirits of the community at the time, as well as the Reed family, seeking revenge from beyond the grave.
