Mehdi Taremi completes transfer to Porto

Portuguese Champions FC Porto have announced the signing of goal-scoring Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi from Rio Ave on a four-year deal. The news comes weeks and months after speculation that Taremi was close to joining the European giants. Taremi, who is 28, impressed in the Portuguese league and cups last season with 21 goals and 5 assists for Rio Ave. The fee is reportedly around €4.5million, along with 25-year-old forward Andre Pereira for Taremi.
