5. Rise in wildfires
We hear it mentioned a lot but what is global warming and how can we see evidence that it’s affecting our globe? Global warming, also referred to as ‘climate change’ is the rise in the average temperature of the world’s climate system. The rise in this average temperature is nothing new and scientists have found that the temperature has been rising since studies began, however, many fear that getting to a level too hot can cause catastrophe. A more recent cause for concern surrounding climate change is the human activity that has proven to be affecting the rate of the average temperature. Activity such as emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxides and other harmful gases are often seen as the major contributors to global warming. These are let off into the atmosphere from common activities such as driving a car, smoking or the use of anything with a combustion engine. We take a look at 8 notable affects to the world that are a direct result of extreme climate change. These affects are a cause for real concern for the future wellbeing of our globe.
