All new Mercedes C-Class officially unveiled

1 of 10

The Mercedes C-Class has been around for quite some years now. It is a well-established alternative to the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4, and a brand-new version has just been officially unveiled. It gets a revised and sleeker appearance, an overhauled interior and technology from the very-luxurious S-Class, so there’s a lot to like about the new car. The C-Class is Mercedes’ best selling model, so expect this trend to continue, from what we’ve seen. A 1.5-litre petrol powers the C180 as well as the C200 with 168bhp and 201bhp respectively. There’s going to be a 2.0-litre petrol that produces 254bhp for the C300 and C300 4MATIC – both of which will total the 0-62mph in 6 seconds. At the unveiling, Mercedes also showed off the estate / station wagon version of the C-Class. Again, sporting terrific style, appearance and an interior that looks to rock it’s competition. Expect prices to start from around £38,000 for a saloon and £39,000 for an estate model.
