Mercedes to replace C and E Class with new 2023 model

Mercedes to replace C and E Class with new 2023 model

3. Spy shots of the 2023 CLE in Germany

The next generation Mercedes Coupe and Cabriolet appear to be in the form of the new model, CLE. For the past 5-6 years now, almost all of Mercedes’ sales for Coupes and Cabriolets have been either the C-Class or E-Class, but Mercedes appear to have recently announced that both lines will be taken out of production, and replaced by only the CLE Class. The move would appear to consolidate the smaller C-Class and bigger E-Class, into a newer mid-sized division, to help improve sales, and get a better control over the Coupe and Convertible market. The CLE is set to arrive in 2023, at the earliest, and price range and stats wise will probably sit between the C and E Class. It is almost guaranteed that it will be a 4-cylinder engine, meaning the end of 6-8 cylinder engines at the moment. It is also very likely that they will have AMG ranges, such as the C43, C63 and E53, but whether they opt for all 3 ranges is very unlikely. Here are some intelligent guesses as to what the design will look like, along with the spy shots, and images of the current C and E Class range, to refresh your memory.
