Interesting airline design that uses 20% less fuel

An all-new airline concept has been designed by a student and is said to use 20% less fuel than the modern day equivalent. The Flying-V airliner was designed by a group of students at the Delft University of Technology in Berlin. Concepts of the Flying-V are said to already be with engineering teams of KLM as they are researching and prototyping the interesting new design. Modern day airliners use an unprecedented amount of fuel per flight and many governments and transportation bureaus are consistently looking for ways of making the aviation industry more eco-friendly. The plane itself is said to be able to carry up to 314 passengers, and they will be seated along each of the wings. The first test flight is expected to occur as early as this September with a model airliner, however, if proven successful, don’t expect to see this in our skies until at least the year 2040.
